Monster cupcakes (and a few fancy ones), made by me and my friend. :p
(The happy purple cupcake monster’s name is Egon, btw)
A red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting, covered in sugar paste.
My very first try with sugar paste! And my first try to make a rounded cake. And my first try to make a red velvet cake. Hm, lots of firsts, actually …
Soo, I made a bat cave in my living room. Because I wanted to watch The Dark Knight Rises in a batcave. Because obviously, that’s the way to watch that movie.
It doesn’t look much like a bat cave, though. More like a blanket fort. But hey, not everyone’s a millionaire living in a mansion over a real cave, so …

And there’s no bat cave without bats (no worries though, they’re made of paper).

And maybe it was the cave, or maybe it was just my imagination, but the movie was better this time I watched it …
I talked my friend into letting me try out some Halloween makeup on her …

Sterek cupcakes, for the “Cookies for Sterek”-campaign.
I’ve already made cookies, and I wanted to make muffins. Or cupcakes. (What is the difference, really?) And cupcakes/muffins are almost cookies anyway, so … yeah.
Chocolate muffins, frosting and little figures made out of marzipan (which is a bitch to work with, and also taste too good to be healthy - I ate a few faces during the making of these …), painted with food colouring. 100% edible! And they’re so, so sweet …
I have no explaination to this. I was inspired, that’s all.
Recepie for Sterek-themed cookies:
1 cup of softened butter
1/2 cup of sugar
2 cups of flour
2 tbsp cornstarch
Do this:
1. Put the butter and the sugar in a bowl, stir until it’s light and creamy. Add flour and cornstarch until it’s a somewhat smooth dough.
2. Roll it out on an even surface (about 5 mm-1 cm thickness). Cut out shapes (in this case; extremely advanced circles …). Place them on a cookie sheet.
3. Bake in an oven (150 degrees Celcius) ‘til the cookies are just starting to get some colour around the edges (if it’s purple, you’ve done something wrong and you need to run).
4. Take the cookies out of the oven (tip: use oven mitts …), let them cool down for a while.
5. Decorate! (In this case, make glaze in different shades of grey and use a little paintbrush to paint it onto the cookies, preferably in the shapes of awesome Stiles and grumpy Alpha Derek Hale - say it with me now; “I am the cookie now!”)
Aaand, you’re done! Enjoy your cookies!
